Hypnosis

“The brain is an amazing place and hypnosis simply provides access to parts of the mind that we have chosen to either ignore or not understand. Sometimes it’s simply a case of not being aware of what we are capable of.”

Quote from my book, Women In Business

Most people have heard of hypnosis, but the number of people who have experienced it is quite small.

Reasons for this include fear, lack of understanding, not knowing who to go to for help, not appreciating the benefits of this type of healing.

Because that is what it is in many cases – positive change!

Hypnosis works with the subconscious – the ‘other’ part of the mind – which operates in different way from the conscious mind – the working mind.

Hypnosis is a great way to relax the subconscious mind and allow it to ‘unblock’ so new thinking habits can form.

Often the subconscious is blocked by negative beliefs and by habitual patterns of thinking. Two typical examples of this are procrastination and a lack of self-confidence.

One of the most important things to understand is that you are still in control, that you make the conscious and subconscious decisions about what changes you choose to work on.

In my article, ‘Breaking the Myth’, I cover several of the myths and misconceptions around hypnosis. What really happens. How it works. The fears. The benefits.
